What to expect at your consultation
Arrival and check-in
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early if possible. Bring a list of your current medications, and the details of any relevant tests or treatment you have had performed elsewhere. If you plan to submit a claim for your consultation through insurance, please kindly attain prior approval from your insurer and provide us with the authorisation code upon your arrival.
Discussion with your surgeon
Miss Ting will take time to discuss your symptoms, goals and medical history. Please mention any previous surgeries/treatments, vision and eye symptoms and medical conditions. For cosmetic concerns, we’ll explore your aesthetic goals. Feel free to provide old photographs of yourself.
Examination and photography
Miss Ting will perform a detailed examination of your eyes, eyelids and facial structure. In most cases she will take medical photographs to help plan your treatment or surgery. These are confidential and stored securely. You will also be asked to complete a photography consent form.
Treatment recommendations
Miss Ting will explain your diagnosis and recommended treatment options. You will discuss whether surgery is recommended (and if so, which type). She will explain the risks, benefits and alternatives. You will also discuss the expected outcomes and recovery time.
Questions and next steps
You’re encouraged to ask any questions. This is your time to feel informed and comfortable. After your consultation you will be sent a written treatment plan including procedure details, estimated costs and scheduling options. We recommend taking some time to think about any treatment before deciding to proceed. Always feel free to reach out again if you have further questions.
We hope your consultation is informative, reassuring and tailored to your needs. Our team is here to support you every step of the way.
